A mere 48 hours ago, the first Shelfie Shoppe photo shoot was a wrap! It was such a wild ride. The photographer/videographer, Davey Hibler, was patient, prepared, and creative. He never treated me like the rookie that I am and really saved my bacon. The models were gorgeous, professional, and really helped calm my nerves. My friend Jenna generously agreed to model for me and help me with the shoot, and she had such great ideas! I will NEVER look at a commercial, much less a tv show or movie, the same again. Just getting a three second video shot right takes planning, practice, skill, and luck. And Jenna and Davey were both key in making my ideas materialize and had even better ideas of their own. Thank God! And the set was perfect! I have no idea how I got so lucky. We shot in an adorable house on Eddy Street in Gardnerville. I practically moved in and never wanted to leave. It was like a dream cottage, and every last detail was right up my alley. I can’t WAIT for you to see the video. I’ll post it here as soon as it is ready to go. The video footage is for the two minute Kickstarter video that will be central to the campaign and will take some work to compose. Waiting is so hard!
But in the meantime, I have some fun news. I will be giving away a Shelfie Shoppe outfit upon successful completion of my Kickstarter Campaign which will launch in early May. The winner will be given a choice of one full outfit (a dress, a tee and shorts, or a tunic and leggings) in either of the colorways. Second place will win a logo tee and third place will win a fun mug and set of stickers. And referrals are rewarded with extra contest entries!
Join the contest, and share (and re-share) it on Facebook and Twitter. The more your friends and family click your shared post to enter, the higher your score and the better your chances are for winning. This is my last push to spread the word before launching the Kickstarter, and I just know I can count on you guys to shout if from the rooftops.
Just because I can’t stand it one minute longer, here are the raw, untouched photos of each outfit in each color.
